Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
The BTHSS Secondary section (SSC) is affiliated with the Board of Secondary Education. BTHSS Intermediate section (HSC), is affiliated with the Board of Intermediate Education, Karachi (BIEK).
Admissions are offered for each stage, from Montessori to Intermediate.
For the Montessori class, admissions shall be restricted to minimum 2.5 years and maximum entry age of 3 years and will be on first come first served basis for the whole year.
Admissions to all other classes will be based on the 40% passing result of the admission test and be subject to the availability of the space.
At the time of admissions the age factor according to the defined class age level should be maintained.
Students for all classes will be tested for admission in English, Urdu and Math only.
Admissions should be based on the “B” Form (specially for the name & date of birth).
Any change in the name or date of birth will based on the “B” Form.
Students seeking admission in the secondary classes (especially from viii –x) must produce a Transfer Certificate/School Leaving Certificate at the time of admission along with the B:Form.
Special considerations shall be made to give admission to the Hafiz students Showing leniency in the age requirement.
BTHSS welcomes individuals regardless of sex, religion, race, creed, color, or domicile who qualify the entry requirements for admission to the courses offered by the institute.
Issuance and Submission of Admission Forms.
Admission forms can be obtained from the campus against the payment of the prescribed fee. AT application fee is non-refundable.
Registration process:
Step 1: Submission of completed application form, clearly indicating choice of selected group.
Step 2: Appear for the admission test.
Step 3: Appear for the interview.
Step 4: Admission form indicating acceptance for successful students.
NOTE: In case a student, after admission, wants to change the group applied for on the
application for, a new application form and processing fee will be applied. Such a change will
only be permitted if there are available spaces.
Provisional admission to Class XI is given on the basis of merit determined through candidate’s result of SSC-Part I or its equivalent examination, admission test and interview.
The merit assessment comprises:
· Previous Scholastic Achievement = 50% weightage
· BTHSS Aptitude Test = 30% weightage
· Interviews = 20% weightage
· For Computer Science Group = 55% and above in SSC examinations or equivalent
· For Commerce Group 50% and above in SSC examinations or equivalent
· Cambridge background = 8 papers cleared, with 4 compulsory papers (Urdu, English, Pakistan Studies and Islamiat) and one Mathematics paper from optional
subjects.
NADRA B Form or computerized National Identity Card (whichever is applicable)
· Marks sheet of last examination
· Provisional/ Hope certificate from last institution attended
· Migration Certificate (for students other than Karachi Board)
· Permission Certificate (for students other than Karachi Board)
· 6 Pictures
· Domicile
· Equivalence Certificate (O-level students)
· Gap Permission Certificate (for students with more than five years’ gap from last attempted
examination)
· Admissions to XI & XII will be based on the 50% passing result of the admission test and at
least 50% in grade IX/XI
· Student strength in XI &XII classes shall not exceed 35, in case of more students, the class shall be divided in sections.
· At the time of admissions, the age factor according to the maintained age as per the (BIEK) rules. (16 years to 18years)
· Students for XI & XII classes will be tested for admission in English, Urdu and Math only.
